Trudy Lou Ford

Trudy Lou Ford has served as A/DAD of OPB since April 21, 2024.  She entered on duty with the FBI in 1999 as a sign language interpreter/reading specialist in CJISD.  In 2010, she promoted to a supervisory management and program analyst in the Biometric Identification and Analysis Unit.  In 2015, she promoted to Unit Chief of the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) Support Services Unit.  In 2017, she transferred to the NICS Operations Unit.  In 2018, she promoted to Assistant Section Chief of the National Threat Operations Section.  In 2020, she promoted to Section Chief of the Global Law Enforcement Support Section.  In 2022, she transferred to the NICS Section.  A/DAD Ford earned a bachelor’s degree from Fairmont State College and a master’s degree from the American Military University.
